Who reads books in Oklahoma?

Lots of people! And that is why they have an exciting book festival. And that is why Carolyn and Bitty are heading there. We want a piece of the book action!

On September 21st we will drive to Oklahoma. What lies in store? Who knows! I’ve never been to Oklahoma. Well, once but that was a very long time ago and all I recall was seeing the worlds largest peanut. The worlds largest ...what? You heard correctly. Peanut. I saw it with my very own eyes. Who knew? Peanuts aside, Oklahoma is a wonderful state that boarders Arkansas, Texas, Missouri and Kansas. That is a lot of territory to cover and sell “Personal Appearances Are Everything”.

Oklahoma has the largest American Indian population of any state in the country. Many famous people were born and raised in Oklahoma too, such as; James Marsden, the actor in Hairspray. He would be perfect to play Boggs Daniel, the funny and flashy character, in the film version of our book.

What other Oklahomians are there? The dynamic Kristin Chenoweth came from Oklahoma and went on to become a smash hit for her ground breaking role in the Broadway production of “Wicked” and movie roles like “Pushing Daisies”. Who better to play Brandi, our blond, bubbly, alcoholic HR manager character.

Olivia Munn comes from oklahoma too. She is the fresh faced actress, famous for her role in “The Newsroom”. She should play innocent and eager Mary.

Who knows, maybe they will drop by our booth at the book festival? 🙏See you there on September 22nd 9am to 5pm
